A Two Day Conference Exploring the Films and Influence of Robert Bresson 2023 marks 80 years since the wartime release of Bresson’s first feature film, LES ANGES DU PECHE, in 1943 and 40 years since the release of his final feature film, L’ARGENT, in 1983. A forty year career and its influence reviewed from a distance of forty years: 1943-1983-2023. The conference chairs invite proposals (max 400 words) from academics, research students and practitioners across creative disciplines that explore innovative historical, critical and contemporary perspectives in relation to Robert Bresson, his films and his influence. Presentations should be approx 15 minutes in length. 90 minute conference sessions will be themed, with 2 or 3 related presentations followed by a moderated discussion and questions from the floor. |
